My Journey with Mr & Miss Nepal Australia

Since 2011, I’ve had the distinct honor of serving as the official trainer for Mr & Miss Nepal Australia. What began as a local beauty pageant has blossomed into a premier platform for the Nepalese diaspora, and being at the helm of its contestant development for over a decade has been nothing short of transformative.

Beyond the Glitz and Glamour

While many see the sparkling crowns and the runway lights, my role behind the scenes is focused on something much deeper: personal evolution. Training these young men and women isn't just about teaching them how to walk or pose. It’s about:

  • Building Unshakeable Confidence: Helping contestants find their voice and own their narrative.

  • Cultural Pride: Bridging the gap between their Nepalese heritage and their Australian identity.

  • Leadership Skills: Equipping them with the public speaking and etiquette tools needed to be ambassadors for our community.

Reflecting on the Years

Looking back to 2011, the landscape was very different. Over the years, I’ve seen the bar for talent and intellect rise consistently. Every cohort brings a new energy, but the mission remains the same: to empower the next generation of leaders.

"A pageant is won in the weeks of preparation, not just the minutes on stage."

Watching a shy individual walk into the first day of rehearsals and leave the stage as a poised, articulate role model is the greatest reward of my career. It’s not just about crowning a winner; it’s about ensuring every participant walks away with a "crown" of self-assurance that serves them long after the curtains close.

The Road Ahead

As we continue this journey, my commitment to excellence remains as strong as it was on day one. To every contestant I’ve mentored since 2011—thank you for letting me be a part of your story.

To the future participants: the stage is waiting, and I can’t wait to help you shine.
